O Hospital Nossa Senhora das Graças, localizado em Bom Retiro, na Serra Catarinense, é uma das instituições que participam do Programa de Cirurgias do Governo do Estado. De janeiro a julho de 2024, foram realizadas mais de 513 cirurgias, abrangendo principalmente procedimentos gerais, ginecológicos e urológicos.

O diretor do hospital, Alfredo Martinho Rosar, destacou a importância das cirurgias eletivas para a melhoria da qualidade de vida dos pacientes da região. Ele mencionou que, anteriormente, havia uma fila considerável de cirurgias represadas, mas a implementação do Programa de Cirurgias Eletivas do Estado reduziu significativamente essa espera.
“Os procedimentos eletivos trazem uma grande redução de danos na vida dos pacientes. Um exemplo é a incapacidade temporária de trabalhar devido a problemas como hérnias e vesículas com cálculos. Além disso, a qualidade de vida da população melhora, pois a espera prolongada aumenta significativamente o risco de complicações”, explica o diretor Alfredo Martinho Rosar.
Origem dos Pacientes
A maioria dos pacientes submetidos às cirurgias vem de Lages, mas também há pacientes de municípios vizinhos como Otacílio Costa, São Joaquim, Painel, Bocaina do Sul, Correia Pinto, Urupema, Bom Jardim da Serra, Ponte Alta, Cerro Negro, Anita Garibaldi, Urubici, entre outros.

Atualmente, o hospital conta com uma equipe diversificada de colaboradores, incluindo sete médicos: quatro clínicos gerais, um cirurgião geral, um anestesista e um psiquiatra. A equipe também inclui uma psicóloga, uma assistente social, um farmacêutico, um tecnólogo em radiologia, uma nutricionista, sete enfermeiros, 21 técnicos de enfermagem, dois recepcionistas, um auxiliar de farmácia, um auxiliar administrativo, um administrador e oito serviços gerais.
